Food at William and Mary.

I tried the food at William and Mary last week and found it to be terrible!! Any other parents try the food lately??

Caf is better than Sadler, and the new dining hall opening in a couple months will be much better for sure.

Good thing you don't go there! Your kid does. Get over it. College food is mostly bad. My W&M student doesn't like it but he loves the people, the academics, the professors. Always a trade off.

They won't be stuck using multiple decade old equipment that doesn't meet modern day needs and building systems that don't allow any of it to be upgraded.

I’ve heard no complaints from my kids that are there, and it was fine when I ate there this spring.

I've eaten there and found it fine with good variety. My son doesn't have any complaints except that it is sometimes repetitive. There are some things like the omelet station that are very well liked.

DD thinks it’s fine. I’ve eaten in the Commons a few times recently and I agree it’s fine. Most of the criticism predates the new vendor.

W&M’s dorms are often trashed online as well, and many of the older dorms deserve it. But the school has invested hundreds of millions to improve food and housing recently and the new facilities are amazing. DD is in a new dorm and it’s lovely.

Our W&M tour guide acknowledged that while the food has improved a bit, it’s not great. They did express optimism about the new dining hall.

I don't know about William and Mary but at UVA, the food contract is the same company that feeds Virginia's prisoners.

My DS is in a new dorm as well. Gorgeous.
