Hip/Knee brace - Arthritis

My 12yr. old small dog was going up the stairs when I heard her whimper followed by limping.

Doctor's visit plus x-rays ($700) determined she has arthritis on knees and hip. They gave her "bedrest", pain meds and some supplements to take.

I have a bad knee myself and use a knee support sleeve. I was searching online and found some for dogs, one leg or both legs to support the hips.

Wondering if anyone has used knee support braces on your elderly dog?

Also, if taking meds for arthritis, which one? The one we got makes her sleepy/lethargic.

She's a Pomeranian mix.
