Holiday bake sale

I'm volunteering at a holiday bake sale fundraiser for school. I'm thinking of making one of the following:
--white chocolate dipped oreos/chocolate dipped too, or
--bags of puppy chow with M&Ms, or
--homemade turtles but on a small pretzel, not nuts.

If you normally buy items at bake sales, would you buy any of the above? I'm in NOVA if that matters and not a sweets eater normally. All comments welcome!

Puppy chow often doesn't look nice on display, I would avoid that. The oreos will probably sell the best, although the turtles are a nice idea.

Decorated sugar cookies are always a hit with my kids. Also Rice Krispies treats.

My DD17 belongs to a school club that hosts bake sales a couple times per year. Their big sellers are cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, and bars. An easy, low effort baked good is Nestle chocolate chip cookie bars. Press the dough into a glass 9x13 glass pan instead of making individual cookies. They’re thick and gooey, everybody is familiar with them, and they sell well.

I agree, no puppy chow. Our school, that kind of stuff always ended as a leftover and sent to the teachers lounge.

If you do the Oreos, maybe do some Christmas colors sugar/sprinkles to make them more themed.

I wouldn’t buy any of those. I like cookies or chocolate dipped pretzels.

I would buy the turtles on pretzel sticks. My kids would love the dipped oreos. Will kids be with their parents at the bake sale, or are you only marketing to adults? I agree with PP that holiday sprinkles would look great on the oreos and attract more buyers, especially kids.

I agree and don't either but at the same time, we make about 1k every bake sale at our school, so its good to know what other people will eat.

Best sellers at ours are cookies (especially large ones, decorated ones), whoopie pies, brownies, cupcakes if individually boxed.

Lots of adults will be there and some kids too. I’ll drop the puppy chow and do the other two. With holiday sprinkles. Thanks!

If you're a good baker a pie or a cake will sell well if the bake sale allows it and you price it right.
