Anyone know anything about the following schools: Lane Elementary, Mark Twain, and/or Edison High?

Hi all. I posted this on the general school discussion, not realizing that there was a VA Public school forum. A few posters responded with helpful information, but I thought there may be more folks with thoughts here. I really appreciate it.

By way of background, we moved here with a baby and now we have 3 kids about to start school. We bought at the height of the market and are stuck here till the market improves. We love our neighborhood and would want to stay for the long haul, but we may have to move to get into a better school district. Unfortunately, we have heard some pretty bad things about these schools. While it would be incredibly painful to our pocket to strain for private schools, we are really nervous to go the public route because of the negative things we have heard. Wanted to know what others' experiences were with any of the above schools. Any thoughts would be great.
