DH and I are coming into DC to drop the kids off with the grandparents, and want to get lunch before heading back to flyover country Any place you can suggest that’s high end but not trendy/stuffy? Open to any cuisine and any neighborhood in the district. TIA!

| ohhh tell us more about what you are in the mood for, budget, what is hard to get where you live? |
| oops, sorry see you say high end but not trendy .... |
Truly anything! We have next to nothing where we live But maybe Asian or just something sumptuous. We essentially have variations of bar food and crappy Italian where we live (rural college town).
|
| What part of DC? |
|
Filomena in Georgetown is superb Italian.
|
| Need more parameters- neighborhood? Cuisine? |
| Nooshi on 19th is wonderful pan-Asian. |
|
Filomena and Nooshi booster here.
DC also has lots of those chains you see in many cities (like McCormick and Schmick), but I was trying to offer more unique options. Agree that it would help if you specified a few types of food or a neighborhood or two of interest. |
