Holiday lights install company for NW DC?

Hi, I'm going to try this this year and would love any recommendations! thank you

We use Window Genie of Bethesda - it's a bit expensive but you get discounts for being a repeat customer and being willing to have them hang the lights earlier (we put ours up already this year! Just don't turn them on until Thanksgiving).

I got a quote from a company in Rockville and quickly changed my mind. They wanted $800 to put lights on the outside of a regular sized old SFH. Thanks, but no thanks.

That's actually a steal, believe it or not!

Serious question how much did you think it would be??

For some it's about safety. falling off a ladder and then missing work or being disabled isn't worth it.

I can pay someone to do it who is used to being on a ladder and working with others who are used to being on roofs and have the equipment, why risk it? All i shave to do is flip a switch and pay for it

+1 Our roof line is like 50 feet off the ground. We don't even own a ladder that reaches that high (in fact the lighting company had to drive back out a second time the first year because they didn't bring one either!), plus we have nowhere to store holiday decorations 11 months out of the year. PP can think we're lazy if they need to.
