I'm spending a few days making some meals for when DC #2 arrives, and was wondering if anyone had any good, easy recipes. I've already done lasagna, chili, beed stew and Sheperd's Pie.
Thanks! |
| Curries freeze well. We froze both a chicken and a lentil curry before DC was born and they heated up nicely. We made the rice fresh each time - an extra step but still worth it for us. |
| I just went to Dream Dinners for the first time and have liked their meals, and the selection of frozen choices in the freezer. The meals still take more prep than thaw, heat, eat. but something to consider. |
| Chicken and dumplings (I make a veg version) |
| Chicken soup, meatballs & sauce, baked ziti, vegetable soup. |

a lot of non-dairy heavy soups freeze well. chicken soup and gumbo freeze and reheat really well.
mashed potatoes on the other hand, do not freeze well at all. |
