Can anybody comment on how this school is for kids NOT wanting to go into IB or finance related professions? For instance healthcare related professions? How is the culture, professors, social, opportunities, etc?

Across the street there is a school called Pomona. Another called Scripps.

Yes, you could go to CMC for pre-med. I wouldn’t go there to with the intent of getting a Ph.D in a science field. If Pomona is too tough an admit, though, so is CMC and Mudd: consider Pitzer or Scripps if you love the 5Cs.
