| Surprisingly, my high school/college jobs as a cashier for a pizza parlor and liquor store were not enough to land me a holiday helper job at Target. Who else should I hit up with the goal of working 20ish hours per week? (I will also accept suggestions for applications that will result in automated rejections.) |

Napa, Discount Auto, Auto Zone and Oreillys all hire part time drivers (delivering auto parts).
Generally you drive around in an eco vehicle and deliver a part here and there to mechanics. |

They generally have a driver position open. I'd apply in person. Tell them days you can work. |

It's probably VA only but who knows Amazon is hiring seasonal help

Montgomery County Public Library openings are few and far between. At one time, they hired alot of part - time help or substitutes. Not anymore. |

Crate & Barrel is a good suggestion. Somewhere like Container Store might be good, too. You mentioned Target - are you looking for retail work? Try all stores in your local mall/strip mall. As another person said (for a different position), go in person, too. Make sure you are available on nights/weekends. |
I tried them last year. Talked to three employees in the store for an interview. There was a posted salary in the job ad. Each employee I talked with gave me a lower salary, so by the time I walked out, the pay per hour had dropped by $5. Thought that was pretty shady, and they were great your hired, fill out the application and we will call you. Had already filled out the application and never got the call. |
