Beware Virginia Elite, which has a toxic culture & despite a strong Academy does not develop the individual players but prioritizes optics over teamwork & does not enforce rules equitably

My 14 yo daughter/HS freshman played on her Catholic HS's freshman team this fall, but has very limited experience (one season of CYO volleyball at her middle school - a new sport). She's been trying out for two DC area teams and it's been a rough experience. Any advice?

Look for make up tryouts at lower ranked clubs today, tomorrow and Monday if she still wants to play. Sometimes they are posted on social media. Post on the thread tryouts in real time. If you post your location others can help you find them too. Many have found a team this way in prior years. It’s really hard and tryouts can be eye opening to the competition out there.
