| THinking about taking kids to disney for the 1st time this winter. My 3yo will have fun but I'm not sure if there's anything for the 16 month old. We went to dutch wonderland last summer and felt bad for dragging the younger one around all day. Any activities for the younger set? Also, should we just stick to one park? I haven't been since I was a child and I understand there a quite a few theme parks. |

I think the 16month old will be amazed at the buildings/colors and/or be scared of the characters. My younger was completely terrified of the characters, but loved the parades and smaller rides. You'll be able to take the younger on most of the rides in Magic Kingdom.
You can do Animal Kingdom - lots of animals and shows that the entire family will enjoy. Assuming you have a double stroller - go to Epcot and enjoy it for you and your dh. The kids probably wont' care for it except the nemo ride. Hollywood studios doesn't have much for little ones. We just came from disney with a 4 & 3 yr old and if it weren't for Indiana Jones and Beauty & the Beast we wouldn't have gone...(and we didn't have a hop pass) |

Since you're going in winter, weather might be funky (it was for us last winter, much colder than we'd thought). We found Epcot to be the best park for our 2 year old because there was more indoor stuff to do. My 2 year old's favorite place in all of Disney was the Thomas train table in the England pavilion at Epcot (just bring your own trains, because they didn't provide any).
Magic Kingdom had some nice play areas for the little ones for when the weather was a little warmer. |
