Fill out FAFSA only if you apply to Public Colleges, and ignore CSS?

| If DS is only applying to public colleges, do we only fill in the FAFSA and ignore filling out the CSS all together? We likely won't qualify for need-based but interested in merit-based. |

| You check each college's website to see what their instructions are for applying for scholarships. You don't need to do the CSS, except maybe for ASU. |

| Gotta check each one but I think so. I’m only seeing privates and public medical schools on css. |
