Re-Enrollment Contracts & Deposits

How does the re-enrollment process work, specifically at Sidwell/Maret/GDS? DC attends one of these schools and we’re considering a move. When do the contracts come out and how much is the deposit? I know we would lose it if we do not cancel before June.

Most re-enrollment contracts come out early to mid Feb and deposit is due

The schools are making a change this year. The decision date will May 1, not June 1. After May 1, the full tuition will be due for parents who have signed contracts, paid deposits and not told schools that their DC will not attend.

AISGW schools may move to May 1st this year as the binding date.

Interesting. AISGW’s dates are guidelines for their member schools, not requirements, and last year several schools picked a different response day (not binding tuition day, just contracts returned) because of how spring break fell. I wonder if any schools will choose a different date for this as well.

Also note that the AISGW-suggested deadline is 4 pm on May 1, or the immediately preceding Friday if May 1 is a weekend. You can’t dither until midnight if schools follow that.

I believe the deadline was May 1 for Holton this year.
