Best budget hair dryer

Anonymous
I have an 18 year old ceramic dryer from Target that is a bit too loud and a bit too hot on the hot setting for modern standards. I’m not looking for anything fancy (I have straight fine hair that doesn’t hold any shape) but would appreciate recommendations for a quality dryer that won’t fry my hair but will still be strong. Preferably under $60. TIA!

Any model from Chi should suffice.

Rusk W8less - I've had mine 4 years. It's bought a Dyson and returned it because the Rusk is better.

This Conair has an actual cool setting, which I love. (It says it’s travel size, but it’s really not.)

This one by Revlon looks comparable.

Updating:

This Revlon also has an actual cool setting vs a “cool shot” button, unlike the Revlon listing above. Not sure if you need/want that feature, but I use it a lot with fine hair. It’s also a lighter weight.

This has worked well for me for years. I have fine, slightly wavy hair. I use this for both blowing it straight and diffusing.

Thank you! Yes the cool setting is perfect!

NP. I have a different small cheap Conair with cool and hot. I usually use the hot setting but I don't blow dry often. I have fine hair.

Would recommend. They last about 8-10 years then become unreliable (switches wear out/shutoff fuse trips).

Many resale stores like eBay have many of these available which makes me skeptical.

I don't shop for hair tools on eBay so I don't know if this is true but I love mine, I've had it a long time, it dries my hair quickly, it is not heavy, it's not too loud, and my hair always looks great when I'm done.

OP here. I ended up buying and returning the Babyliss nano because it was huge and made a very weird sound (almost like a car engine slowing down).

I ended up getting this one and like it so far:

Thanks again to all.

I wouldn't trust the cheap Chinese knockoffs. I would have bought the Rusk if I were you. Good luck when the xowikejt one dies in two weeks!
