Where can I find the smallest turkey?

Not turkey breast, or chicken, just a small turkey for Thanksgiving. Will only be 4 or 5 people.

Order one from a butcher or Balduccis. 10 pounds.

4-5 people is perfect for average 16 pound turkey.

Shop early. The small ones go first, leaving the monster birds.

Order fresh one now from farm or butcher to pick up days before.

Get a goose. Delicious and perfect for 4-6. They have less meat than a turkey, but the meat is better.

Get an organic one from Whole Foods or Moms. I found a tiny one last year, last minute at Whole Foods.

I’ve never had issues trying to find a 11-13 pound turkey. 14-16, yes. The tiny turkeys? Nope.

Trader Joe’s always has a lot of reasonably sized turkeys

A goose is not comparable to turkey. The meat is greasy and gamey.

You can order one from a local farm. But you'll need to do it sooner rather than later.
