| Do you save pricy gifts until after engagement, wait for marriage or being steady? I was thinking of giving DS's SO something from faily jewlry but my BFF advised against it as she gave some heirloom puece to her DS's then GF and they broke up. Now she can't take it back but feels like it was meant for his wife. WWYD? |

| Its her 30th birthday. |
| Save sentimental family jewelry for after the wedding, better yet, save it for a granddaughter |
| Agree to wait until after wedding at least. |
|
Nope.
They arenโt engaged or married |
| Nope not until they are married. |
| No family jewelry until marriage. |
| Anything you give is theirs to keep so save it for your grandkids and buy a nice piece of jewerly for her instead. |
Agree with the above. You give family jewelry to a gf or wife and they breakup or divorce you will never see that jewelry again. Buy a piece for them but save heirlooms for grandchildren. |
| The most I give is nice boots, slippers, etc. |
| Family jewelry to blood relatives only imo. Save for their future daughter if they get wind up married. |

Pricey gifts yes, family stuff no
But it's great that you like her enough to even consider it ๐ |

And if there is no granddaughter? It gets sold for scrap. |
