Are there neuropsych providers you've used who have provided helpful reports re: college? DC is in high school and I'm starting to think of where we should get their next neuropsych done.
In case it is relevant, DC's diagnoses are autism, ADHD, and anxiety. DC is also gifted. |
| For the same diagnoses, we love Dr. Black and have used him for all the neuropsychs we've done through the years, including 11th grade for college. The report he wrote was helpful in getting all the accommodations she needed. But getting college accommodations was so much easier than the IEP/504 process that I think any recent neuropsych would have worked. |
| Dr. Lisa Lenhart is fantastic and cheaper than many others |
| You want to be sure that the neuropsych is the adult version so taking it closer to college is wise. Also keep track of what the rules might be for keeping accommodations in place for professional exams for grad programs such as LSATs, MCATS, and professional licensure certifications in most professions later on such as teaching, nursing, law, medicine etc. If evidence of a disability is required, then you want to see the length of time an evaluation is accepted. |
