Transportation logistics for homecoming

Anonymous
DS is a junior who doesn’t have a drivers license yet. He’s at an all boy school and his friend set him up with one of his sister’s friends for homecoming. Last year when he was a sophomore, DH and I did most of the driving ( pre party, party and post ).
Would we do the same this year ? Not sure if that’s typical for juniors. Or would maybe sharing a cab we’d hire for the night with some other kids be an option?

Cab sharing sounds really nice. I'm sure they'll enjoy the independence and some of the other parents will appreciate it.

DS was old enough to drive but we still did car share.

My daughter's date is the same (junior at private school who doesn't have his license yet). Parents are driving them to dinner and they're walking and Ubering between dance, after-party and home the rest of the way.

If there is pre party where parents take pictures then parents can drive your son and date plus a few others (not solo) to the dance but after the dance kids normally uber in groups. Then once again uber home after the party. He should make sure date gets home safely can drop her off first.
