Widespread cheating at McLean HS

There is widespread cheating at McLean HS. Students actually brag about it. Is there any way to turn in students?

I know some students tried to do this a few years ago and the principal did nothing. My DC actually reported to the teacher when people cheated off of his paper- the teacher was responsive to it- but still continued to happen. I feel like it’s a lost cause!

It's all schools. My DS at South Lakes talks about it all the time. Those in the first period of the day take pictures of tests and share with the later periods. No cell zone yet pictures are being taken. The classes and school itself are too large in size to properly manage

OP here. It just makes me sick to my stomach. According to my HS student, some of the parents of the cheaters know about the cheating and are willing to look the other way as long as it helps DC get into a T20. It makes me wonder if top schools are mostly comprised of strivey cheaters.

Ha. It's comical if you think it is only at this High School. Even back when I was in high school the classes where cheating happened the most was in my honors/AP classes.

My kids in high school both have reported tons of cheating and even when kids are caught, not much is done so it ends up being low risk.

It has been happening for decades now. Big issue in the NJ governor’s race. Cheating became wide-spread as part of the participation trophy/striver generation and continues with today’s entitled/striver generation.

Unless OP provide more specifics about how the cheating occurs, I see this thread as a speculation or possible troll.

My DC also goes to MHS and they’re not aware of any kids bragging about cheating.

Then they are likely one of the cheaters. It happens a lot in the AP classes. Do the teachers walk around to ensure that the students are not using their phones during tests? Students are taking pictures of tests and sharing them with others. They are also using ChatGPT. There is another way that they are cheating but I don't want to post it here. I'll probably report it.

I work at a different HS and this is true. Teachers are frustrated but there is little we can do when we are not backed and forced to give second chances. Yes, many colleges are full of savvy cheaters. But remember, there are a lot of honest and hard working people out there too.
