Hi, Looking for Winter Sport/Movement options for a 9 year old boy near Silver Spring, MD. Any recommendations for programs you kiddo has enjoyed? He is less interested in basketball, but may be into lacrosse. Interested in all ideas, including off-beat ones like fencing, or break dancing! Thank you!

My kid does jiu jitsu in Silver Spring. Indoors, year-round.

Healthy Baller? I think there's a location in Rockville.

Also, CrossFit kids classes are super fun for active kids and most CrossFit gyms have them.

Many traditional outdoor sports hold indoor or "frosty" seasons. We are in Fairfax and in the winter my kids have played: outdoor soccer, indoor soccer, outdoor flag football, ice skating, swim, rock climbing, karate, volleyball.

Silver Stars used to have a trampoline class for boys.

Highly recommend Flag Star Football. They have an outdoor winter program, but my son doesn't mind the cold!
