Wear the school’s shirt in application video?

What do you think? Good idea or too try hard?

Try hard, for sure.

Applicant should wear clothing that is their typical style. Nice, well-fitting, but not fancy.

If you intend on doing so, you may get the most mileage out of a generic Go Wildcats t-shirt and very limited mileage out of a Banana Slugs t-shirt.

If this is for Glimpse and your kid has more than one school that wants a Glimpse video, they can only create one video that gets sent to all the schools. So definitely not in that situation.

I wouldn’t even purchase a school T shirt until my child was accepted.

whenever I see people who put on the sweatshirt to open their decision email, I just think .. these are careless people.

As an alumni interviewer, I would find it presumptuous and cocky of a candidate to walk into an interview wearing a Princeton T or sweatshirt. Guessing admissions staff might feel the same.

Wear an old one that belongs to parent, i.e. legacy

What is an application video? Which schools do this?

My kid’s sibling is a current student and kid still wouldn’t think of wearing the school’s gear in a video.
