Article II power to fire cases?

Have any courts ruled yet on whether the president has absolute authority to disregard civil service laws and fire anyone he wants under Article II? They’re relying on this a lot, and it seems like something that a court might be able to curtail.

I think it might only be curtailed for inferior officers. I do think Humphrey’s Executor will be overturned and many of these firings upheld.

I think that OP is talking about the random civil servants who get a termination notice citing Article II.
