DD plays in her school’s freshman team. She has other sports commitments and won’t be able to try out for club this fall. Are there camps or other programs that would help her improve which she can take in the winter/spring/summer? Thank you

Where are you located?

I agree with the PP: If you don't provide location, we are simply guessing and the options we provide may nor work for you.
A coach told me that it's becoming more and more difficult to get on a HS roster in this area without club experience (especially for Varsity). I can see that in my DD's HS. There are schools where the rec experience can propel you on the JV team, but it may not carry you into the Varsity. You may have to pick one sport and stick with it and play volleyball just for fun, knowing that your DD may not make the varsity team. Again, it depends on the school and nobody can tell you for sure unless you provide enough info with your question. |
DP but DD we are in western Fairfax and DD is also looking for a backup plan to keep playing. She realizes she might not play for the school again. She’s played club before but isn’t sure she wants to give up so much time all year now that’s she’s in HS. Going back to rec wouldn’t be an option now. Is there anything in between?
OP here. Currently located in DC and looking to move to Arlington in 2026
McLean Youth Volleyball has house and select leagues in the spring. I live in Arlington and the locations are less than 15 minutes away.
