Mowing the Lawn after Overseeding

I aerated and overseeded last week. I have some seed just starting to germinate. My lawn is getting quite high though. I read that I shouldn't mow my lawn after overseeding for a few weeks to not damage the need seedlings. it I wait a few weeks (it's been 10 days), my grass could be 8 inches high. When do I mow? thanks

I think mowing over seeded lawn is based more on height of blades instead of time. I’d mow it high. Generally I’d bag clippings as to not block any other new growth, especially if you have a lot of clippings.

Push mowing is no problem.

You can mow now, better if you bag the clippings. Don't make turns on your new seedlings and it should be fine.

Did you water? Is rain coming? Wait till after so the seeds get pushed to the dirt and the sprouts get going.

we try to wait at least 2 weeks but try for 3
