What's the best air fryer?

Anonymous
I'm having an urge to buy an air fryer. Does anyone have any suggestions on which model is the best. I'm not interested in a toaster oven that has an air fryer setting. I already have that and it's just a convection fan so it doesn't count.

I’m very happy with the Instant Pot Vortex Plus.

There are a bunch that look new at Savers. Some look like open box returns.

OP: Some things should be thrifted, and some things should not. An air fryer is definitely in the latter category.

We like our Ninja.
I would gauge your sized based on family size (1 person? 5 people?)

We had a smaller one but the surface area matters, because that’s the limit on how much you can put in. Family of 5 using a small one was annoying bc we had to do 2-4 batches.

Now with our larger we only need to do 1-2 batches.

We've been happy with our Cuisinart 6 qt. It is attractive, has a light, and easy to clean.

Typhur Dome. It’s my third air fryer and last. It’s expensive however you can make a whole
Pizza in it. I can do chicken for my whole family because of the large surface area.
I had a ninja before and it was nice to be able to do two different things, but chicken for example didn’t cook well when layered up.

Yes. It’s also the quietest on the market…by far. Look for the one with the silver handles/sides. I think Williams Sonoma and crate and barrel have them. The newer design with the gray handles/sides isn’t as quiet.

OP: I appreciate this. I had not thought about the noise.
