Humor me this, our neighbor claims she’s making $3-4k / monthly posting on Tik Tok. Is this really possible or is she feeding me donkey turds?
She tells that companies send her products to use in her Tik Tok posts. The products I’ve seen are items I wouldn’t buy cause they’re cheaply made with weird unfamiliar branding. |
Didn't know TikTok was monetized yet, but makes sense, in a senseless sorta way.
The tik tok creator fund pays out for # of qualified views per video that’s at least 1 minute long. If she has a lot of videos and lots of views, she can easily make that much and would attract brands for brand deals.
For TikTok the RPM (revenue per 1000 views) is around $1 without taking into account brand sponsorships. If they post 30-40 videos a month they would need to average 100k views. That is hard to do, but not impossible. Even harder is to make money by selling crap from brand deals while keeping your audience engaged. Creating and producing that much good content while negotiating brand deals is a full time job.
It's possible if she has a huge following + big sponsorships/brand deals. But it is not common, and it takes a hell of a lot more work than people think it does.
