DH just freaked out about ring girls???

My normally very mild mannered DH just freaked TF out on me when I said something to “I like that those ring girls have abs, normally they don’t”.

He won’t tell me why this upsets him so much, he just keeps calling me shallow and disgusting and I’m so confused? I tried to explain that I think professional models should be fit (preference I guess), and that’s their job… neither of us are super fit but neither are we professional models so I’m not sure where this is coming from.

A ring girl is the woman who holds up a sign to let you know what round it is in sports like boxing and MMA. Other than that this post is weird.

Anyway, yes, you are shallow and disgusting, and possibly have an eating disorder.

Visible abs are a sign of poor health (starvation). It has nothing to due with fitness or muscle.

Np. My dh has had abs since he was 5. He’s not starving or anorexic. He doesn’t even do ab workouts except for a time when he had back pain. He runs, swims and is very athletic.

Both our elementary aged son and daughter have abs too so it must be genetic. While I’m thin, I don’t have an athletic physique. You’d see my ribs before my abs if I lost enough weight.
