A Turkish participant on the Sumud Flotilla says Israeli forces beat Greta Thunberg, dragged her by her hair, made her crawl, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag during the raid on the Global Sumud Flotilla.
Some 137 activists detained by Israel for taking part in a flotilla seeking to deliver aid to Gaza arrived in Turkey on Saturday (4 October) after being deported, with two alleging that Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg was mistreated during her detention, reports Reuters. According to Haaretz, Swedish foriegn ministry sent a note to Thrunberg's family that she was held in custody and that "She has recieved insufficient amounts of water and food" and "spoke of harsh treatment" the email said. All of my life I was a staunch defender of Israel owing to the deep psychic guilt I feel over being 2nd generation German American and having cousins who were Nazis.
After seeing what they’ve done in Gaza these last two years, I could not care less what happens to Israel. ‘Never again’ is a freaking joke. They like genocide just fine so long as it’s not them being genocided. I’ll stand up for Jews being persecuted as I would for any other group of people, because I adhere to the teachings of Christ (whilst I reject most organized religion). But Netanyahu is monster as are all the Israelis who support him and his Likud government’s agenda. |

Haaretz reported on it. The Swedish government noted the harsh conditions she experienced. And eye wirness testimony. More eye witnesses can corroborate and she herself can confirm it herself. Swedish govt. noted she was forced to hold the Israeli flag while pictures were taken of her. Don't expect Israel to acknowedge this. More eye witness testimony needed. Only 2 so far but I believe it's true.

| I don’t really care about Greta Thurnburg. If this was real activists who actually cared about getting actual aid to Palestine, I’d be so angry. But this seems like it was all done for show. They knew they could’ve actually gotten the aid to the Palestinian people if they’d just gone to the port Israel told them to. But they weren’t doing this to actually help Palestinians, they did it for notoriety. She’s like a celebrity cosplaying as an activist. I read Susan Sarandon was there too?
