S/o informational interviews

Would like to ask a friend for a favor- if she can connect my college aged dc with someone at her company for an informational interview.

Is this ok to do?

Yes, that’s a pretty normal request.

It is, but if she tells you she doesn't know anyone suitable accept it as fact.

I've done informational interviews but never been in a position to get someone hired. I came close once but it failed. I am not politically connected enough and opportunities are scarce.

When I do these interviews, I ask a lot of questions and try to give career and life advice that will help with a general job search. I don't mind doing them.
