I ordered the Kut from the Kloth Meg wide leg but the pockets and rise were terribly unflattering for my thick, short-waisted, flat butted self.
Any suggestions for a wider leg style in a medium wash? Surely someone else out there has my body type.

I have no jeans recommendations for you, but that video made me laugh. Thanks!

The answer is no jeans are going to make you look significantly less fat. I was shaped like that. Went on GLP and am now average weight (still very short). All of a sudden even less expensive jeans look pretty good on me, in a modern wide leg style. It’s not the jeans, it’s you. There fashion industry doesn’t make jeans for overweight women. Buy inexpensive jeans and save up for diet drugs.

This is something I can't help. My mother is shaped like this, my grandmother and all my aunts and cousins. I'm not overweight in the least. I'm 5"6 and slender everywhere but my middle section. I was just thinking about this and I'm pretty much built like Sutton Stracke.

Shopping online for jeans isn’t easy. Take a friend and head to the mall to try on various shapes and sizes. Anticipate that you will try on 25-30 pairs before you find the perfect pair.

Don't wear wide leg jeans, OP. Just get a flare. Wide legs jeans will make a fat woman look fatter.

I can say this, as a fellow fat woman.

That’s like Meghan Markle, who is fridge-shaped on toothpicks. OP, midrise full-length flares and non-cropped sweater and jacket combos will work.

Long tops that can add shape to you. Like round necklines, bell sleeves, puff sleeves, etc

While nothing has changed my shape (due in large part to my cheese hankerings), the Gloria Vanderbilt jeans seem to be about out as flattering as I can expect. Some have spandex woven into the denim which provides a little bit of stretch to help with the fit, although they don’t breathe as well as 100% cotton and can be a little hot to wear.
