Career change - gig work in the meantime

Anonymous
Laid off last week, hated my role and industry. (MBA working in health insurance - truly, hell on earth.) I have the good fortune of now having the time to consider what I would like to pivot to. In the meantime, I’d like to do contract/short-term work: I have a background in business analytics, project management, and process improvement.

What are the best sites? How easy? Worth it? I don’t want to spin my wheels but want to stay engaged and earning some cash won’t hurt. TIA.

You, and thousands upon thousands of others who were also recently laid off. Good luck out there.

I've done some consulting at a high enough rate to be worth it, and it came through networking. It was from people who knew me and saw what I specifically could do.

I thought the gig economy was dead. Ah I remember 2020/2021 when I was making $7k per month pre expenses driving for Uber. Those days are gone.
