Today, I choose violence. Literally.

I know calls for violence are generally frowned upon. The issue is … I simply don’t care.

It’s all about cost, and the cost is not high enough.

In some places, the cost is nonexistent. We need to reinstitute a public debt for anti-social and subversive behavior. In my opinion, some of this cost needs to be summary and ultra-violent.

Is this a call for violence? Yes. Explicitly it is.

We must stop clutching our principles and shouting “stop.” They own the legal system. That will achieve nothing. We need action. Disproportionate. Violent. Action.

Pain and suffering.

We need to raise the cost of obviating the social contract. Measure it in blood if necessary. Change requires pain, and you’re either taking it or inflicting it.

I know which side I’m on, and I’m more than ready to start putting people in the shed.

So is anyone going to cancel Ingersoll? Will he be removed or fired from any of his plush right wing patronages? Will the government come in and shut him down? Will there be investigations in to who fund him?

OP is right - if this had been written by the editor at large of the New Republic, or Mother Jones, or Slate, every Democratic elected official would condemn this and he would be fired in an hour. Has anyone said anything about this by the editor at large of the Daily Caller?

There are people like him on both sides. The thing is, right now, only one side is being institutionally oppressed. Which means that violence is going to flare up, because of a perceived sense of injustice.

Calling for violence and blood is one of the worst forms of hate speech and is not protected speech as it is a violation of international law (Genocide Convention of 1948) as well as a violation of most US jurisdictions' terroristic threat statutes. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of law.

Can you please tell me who is saying this on the left? I’m unaware of journalists or politicians calling for violence on the left.
