Best “coffee to go” box in MoCo?

Anonymous
I’m trying to find a source for those boxes of hot coffees to go that are economical, but I also want to serve decent coffee. It’s for a teachers event I’m hosting. There’s also water and juice.

What are your recommendations? Happy to go basic with Dunkin or the like if people like it. Also it says things like “serves 12” but do you find that accurate?

I’m not a coffee drinker so I appreciate the intel.

I always go with the a Starbucks traveler (96 Fl oz 12 8 la cups). It includes all the necessary paraphernalia (cups, sugar, etc.).

Dinkin has something similar. Also good.

Thanks! Do you think it really serves 12 people? Or do people tend to put less in the cup?

Not a coffee drinker either, but I’ve ordered coffee boxes with 12 short cups instead of 8 tall. That makes 8 oz coffees, so maybe people felt shorted out of a full cup. It was for a short event, so I felt it was ok.

Krispy Kreme also has a similar coffee box. We thought it was fine.

Op here. I also have a short event, this is a good idea. I was also thinking of grabbing a grocery store creamer.

Just a heads up to order early and if you use an app make sure to call. They take a long time because I think they brew you a fresh, full pot and every time I have ordered ahead, it’s not ready.

If you plan to make it a regular occurrence, try getting a few of these. https://a.co/d/gSgHgVU I brew using a regular 12-pot coffee machine at home and these stay super hot for hours. Takes a few rounds but it’s worth the cost savings. I loan mine out on our buy nothing group all the time.

When ordering breakfast for a work event, my go to is ordering ahead at Bethesda Bagels. They have everything ready, including cups, variety of sweeteners/sugars/creamer, plus the bagels and cream cheeses all at one place. And they even put the everything bagels in a separate bag so as not to get the oniony smell/taste on the other bagels.

The only downside is no paper plates to serve the bagels, only napkins, but people like their coffee, and I like that I can order ahead and get everything at one place

We get it from Panera. Always is ready on time if we order it the night before in the app.
