The Housemaid—does it get better?

Anonymous
I’m currently 40% in and honestly, getting a little bored. I started reading it because of the movie hype, but now I’m wondering if it’s worth continuing. Does it become insanely better soon? Is there a plot twist so unbelievable I’ll find my jaw on the floor? Spoiler::::: I’m at the point where the box of baby supplies has been dropped off.

I enjoyed the whole book. But I felt that way as soon as I started.

I hated that book and the other one I tried. I did finish them both but the writing is so childish and the characters are so ridiculous that I won't be back for another one.

The show may be good as long as she didn't write the script!

My friend recommended it like it was a piece of great literature. It’s garbage.

I enjoyed it as well.
If you are already 40% in ➕ are feeling bored by the pace of the storyline then chances are you may not like the rest of the book.

No, it does not get better. Ditch it and read something more enjoyable. If phone books were still printed, that would do

Nope. It doesn’t.

Did you get to the part where the pov shifts? That’s when it gets interesting/fun.

I thought it was a quick read but some what predictable.

She’s allegedly plagiarized that book and it’s a direct copy of The Last Mrs Parrish (that’s what the word on the street is). There are also rumors that Freida McFadden uses AI to write her books.

I personally liked this book.

The author does use simple vocabulary even though she is also a physician irl.

However her stories have many unpredictable twists and turns that make her novels great reads overall.

Seems like many many current books contain these different points of view now which I think are a bit overused.

It doesn’t. I read it and finished it but so blah.

I liked this book, it was a required read for a book club at my local library.

I think the author delivers well on suspense though many people think that her books are written at Elementary School level.

Lol.
