How much are you budgeting for this Halloween?
We spent between $20-30 the past ten years; this year we are going with a budget of $10 (much less trick-or-treaters the past two years). |
| Our neighborhood is aging out. Lots of high schoolers and empty nest. We’re buying two bags of candy. But probably could do with just one. |
|
I spent 100-150 on components of my kid’s costume and I’ll spend probably 75 on candy.
I’m not proud of this, nor do I think it’s appropriate, I just did it without thinking and this thread made me face it. |
Same. We are in the Suburbs. We bought two and ended up eating one whole bag... Actually, my co-workers ended up eating it all. lol. |
| We bought 3 bags (I think $20 or so each). Wanted to get the full size candy bars like my parents used to hand out and saw the price and said no thank you |
$10!? What are you handing out and how much of it? That barely buys a small bag nowadays, and likely it’s the crappy candy. |
| Zero. Nobody and I mean absolutely nobody comes to our street. We are the only family with small kids, the lots are big and there are no street lights so it’s pitch dark and forbidding. The rest of the neighborhood is hopping. |
|
We buy a couple of full sized boxes of candy bars each year, plus around $30.00 of full sized gummy type non chocolate boxed candy.
All in? Around $100.00 worth of candy. Suburban neighborhood with tons of kids trick or treating each year. |
| $30, we don't have many kids in our neighborhood. |
| 50 bucks |
| A lot. I've never added it up. We get hundreds of kids. Last year I got 3 costco bags and two smaller grocery store bags. I'll probably do the same this year. I may add in one more costco bag because we ran out near the end of the evening. It's a Friday this year so I'm guessing we'll have even more kids. |
| $50. I love Halloween! |
| I hate Halloween. Who wants to spend all night answering the door? No one. |
| $40? |
I just leave the candy outside in bowls and refill. |
