I am only a few weeks in, and realized that I wasn’t sure how to handle travel. I am on the compounded version so I have a vial and needle. Is the needle allowed to go in my carry-on?
I could skip the shot but timing would be hard (I take the shot each Saturday and am traveling Thursday-Tuesday). Thank you for help/suggestions from those who have BTDT. |

How long do you have until you travel? If it's a few weeks, move it one day each week, so go 8 days.
I would jsut take it Tuesday night when I get back, but I can extend to about a week and a half before I feel it wearing off. |
| But, otherwise, check the TSA website. I'm sure there is something on it since there are medically necessary injectable meds. There have to be guidelines. |

You could always split the shot and do half on Thursday and half on Tuesday when you return. I have taken the shot one day early or one day late depending on travel.
I don't travel with mine because I don't want to refrigerate or travel with my needles. |
| I have an insulin needle frozen pack and I travel with the vial and one syringe. |
| I have traveled with a needle and zepbound in my carry-on. zepbound can actually be at room temperature for 21 days so that makes it easy. |
| I would just wait until Tuesday, but I have traveled with it unrefrigerated |
| I just skip a shot when inconvenient. It doesn’t make much difference. |
| I will say, this is why I switched to Sunday injections because I can take it on Sunday or Monday if needed, but you can take it with you as long as you declare it to TSA and make sure it is labeled. |
