I guess gold/mining/tech and ai are leading the way right now.

What are you buying? I’m mostly swing trading. Obvi VOO is always a good bet, but what are your short term swing trades?

I’m buying and selling NBIS, NUGT, ASTS, UUUU, URAF, OKLL and others. I think we will see continued gold rising but also risky tech growth for a while.

Anything that can go up and down 5-20% a day. Tesla and MSTR can move that much easily. I do buy very low though.
I don't day trade. More like a week in tax free account. Returns in that account are 100% a year the last few years. May end up being 200% this year.
Plenty of mistakes made, but I am getting better.
No, I don't trade in my big account. It has Tesla, Bitcoin. I will buy Hood at some point.

I used to buy IBIT and ETHA and even XXRP. I sold them all. I am waiting until crypto winter to only buy IBIT again when it’s on a big discount. I think crypto is not as hot as I once thought. It’s still considered too volatile an asset, and most folks, when the market panics, rush to gold, bonds, consumer staples and utilities rather than crypto. I’ve been buying gold ETFs and gold miners instead now. They’re up like an insane amount. I think that trend will continue for a while. I do believe Bitcoin could be at like $1M in 10 years, but it could also just wither away. Gold will always be in style. However, once gold hits like $5,000 an ounce, which i think it will, I’ll sell for bonds and then park money there and once the stock market crashes, like I think it will, I will put that money into SPMO and IDMO and maybe some UPRO at “near bottom” or whatever I subjectively think that is, and wait for the market to go back up and profit.

Waste of time to buy anything based on short term feelings you have. I know so many men who play around with their money, taking hours away from their family and if they are somehow “on fire” they end up no better than if they just left everything in an S&P. It’s so stupid.

I don't see any deep sea mining ETFs. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good general metals % mining ETF that includes companies like TMC?

Crypto is hot right now with many small caps adding crypto. But crypto has up and down cycles so you have to keep on your toes. The younger generation is a lot more open to it than older folks like me. They see it as a hedge against the potential collapse of the dollar. Trump has been pushing crypto but I'm skeptical myself. Dutch bulbs and all that.

A lot of folks swear by AMD. It dropped a lot during Trump's initial tariff threats but back on track with l-t growth expectations. I don't own any. Maybe I'll get some when price drops again with another Trump incident.
