College Board Dropped Landscape - What Now?

Anonymous
Several people said that College Board dropped Landscape this year. Separately, it sounds like the information that was provided by Landscape like SAT scores in context, ability to pay tuition (census tract info) and yield information is more important this year than ever. How will colleges adjust without Landscape?

A number of things I read when this news broke a while back suggested that colleges really weren’t using it as much as people think they do.

They discontinued it because of concerns regarding federal and state laws "evolving" in regards to the use of demographic information in admissions. It was announced awhile ago.

Landscape didn’t show yield information. It showed a score related to census data about the applicant’s neighborhood and about the high school’s recourses and testing.

It was not personalized for the student themselves.

Landscape data could be used in yield algorithms
