and don’t think you’ll find another good in house gig?
Hang a shingle? Do something else entirely? |
| Try to go back to BigLaw since fed jobs are even more unlikely. |
I doubt BigLaw would want a former in house lawyer |
Why not? I have former big law and government experience. I would be applying based on my whole resume and I've learned a ton about the industry by actually being in it. |
| I think I could find another good in house gig. If not, maybe a trade org. |
tell me you're a white man without telling me you're a white man |
| Anyone looked at the in-house job postings recently? Availability seems slim and comp seems capped |
Lol I'm a woman of color and not white (Asian) |
| Go back to my old firm. |
| Go to a not good in house position |
| Retire. I'm only working until our next exit anyway. |
I think many lawyers couldn't live on 200K a year. |
| I’ve been thinking about this a lot as I desperately want to take a sabbatical right now. I would be prepared to take a significant paycut when returning to market if I stay in-house, but I’m also contemplating going back to a firm or starting over in a new practice area like family law or trusts and estates. I’m kind of burned out on corporate law, but need to keep working till the kids are done with college. |
