Runners - What do you wear?

Anonymous
I am an avid exerciser, and am thinking about taking up running.
What do you wear??

When I run, I wear a pair of Nike shorts (I like these the best: http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/#l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-100701/pid-283304/pgid-371370 with a sports bra and a t-shirt or tank top when it's hot. I add some type of jacket when it's cooler.

Okay, those are cute shorts! Great price too.

Thanks

I've got to wear a shirt and shorts that will wick the sweat away. I sweat like a pig when I run. Love it.

The over 40 degree rule works for me--if it over that I run in Nike sweat wicking shorts. Under that temp I pull on the skin tight leggings. All the nike clothing gear looks great. I cannot wear any of their shoes though the toe box is tiny. My feet aren't even wide--anyone else find the the ke's freakishly narrow.

No? Ok. it's me. Thought so.

I run with a double running stroller so I heat up fast - always shorts and t shirt (or tank top if above 75 degrees).

Even in the winter, I ALWAYS wear shorts. Your heart is pumping your leg muscles with a ton of warm blood so I definitely want to keep them cool.
I usually put on a long sleeve t-shirt for the upper body - I can pull the sleeves around my fingers to keep them warm on the running stroller's handle bar.

I have half of nike.com in my workout wardrobe. I just can't help myself. though it's harder to buy their sports bras online since they changed their sizing a few years ago. (I was a medium, now I'm too small for medium, but sometimes smalls are too tight.) But their shorts are still good. So are Brooks. I like Under Armor sports bras a lot.

Generally I go by weather. I wear shorts down to about 40 degrees; after that I put on tights. If it's 20 or below, I'll double-layer the tights. (try getting out of THOSE when they're sweaty.) I wear sports bra ONLY - no shirt - down to about 55 or 60 degrees. At 55 I might put on a short-sleeved t-shirt. If it's 45 or below, I'll wear a long-sleeved t-shirt and in the 30's I might put on a layer below the t-shirt (turtleneck) or above the t-shirt (jacket.) Most of the year I wear the little shorty-socks with a small cuff but I keep a few longer pairs for winter so I can tuck my tights into them and not have exposed skin. I buy a few pairs of those $1 stretchy gloves every year and double-layer them and toss them in the washer afterward. If it's 20 or below, I generally run on the treadmill.
