If your DC has done a work related formal internship in high school- would this help their college application?

| How about if their gpa wasn't high? DS has 3.0 gpa, great EC, has an IEP. Only taken 1 AP. He did excellent in his marketing, project management internship. The internship was formal even though it was at his father's company. DH had no input into it. Should I navigate this with a college counselor? |

| Depends on what kinds of colleges. For most colleges after top 50, every little thing could help. If you are scope ice cream for 2 weeks as a summer job, it would help compared to another kids who didn't. But if you're look at top 25 schools, it won't help. |

| Just my opinion: my kid is very high stats and had a great paid internship that kid got by him/herself….and I imagine it is a tiny help- minuscule. |
