Getting into AAP when new to Fairfax

| We will likely move from Arlington to Fairfax County in the next year or two, so my kids would be in 3rd and 5th grades. I have heard that I can apply to AAP before the school year starts when we register. What is that like? What type of scores and other info are the looking for if you are new to the county and are chances low of getting in? |
