Checking in on my fellow job searchers

Like many I read the thread last week of the job searcher who just didn’t want to be here anymore. It’s so tough out there. Starting this thread to be a safe space to support one another. I personally feel so isolated in all of this (partner and friends have empathy, but don’t really understand the stress all of this causes).

My stats: job searching since February, senior level government contractor


I still have a job for now but know I’m not long for it with federal work coming to an end… and I’m completely and utterly burned out. I have no motivation to do my job anymore. I dread looking for job postings. The good news, maybe, is I got feedback from a recruiter that an interview I did a few weeks back received very positive reviews and I should hear back next week. But, the anxiety of waiting isn’t helping. I really want that job but just know I won’t get it.
