Extra time accommodation—how it works IRL

Dc will likely get “extra time” (7th grade, starting 504 meetings) for tests, but it hits me-when do they find the “extra time” (middle school so switching teachers)—is it before/after school, “working lunch” I know there is likely variation in execution but now it feels like an empty item

It really varies by school how they do it. My kid is in private school and goes to a separate classroom when he uses his accommodations (he doesn’t always). He’s in HS now with block schedules and his extra time never seems to run into his next class.

In MS he would come back during lunch if he needed the extra time. He didn’t use extra time for every test/quiz.
