With the most rigorous courses from both a top DMV school and a magnet school with STEM heavy courses.

SAT superscore 1530.
Wants a Physics major / minor CS

Is it worth to take a chance and ED at UVA?

(or just EA at V Tech? Even that seems a reach these days)

Thanks

Virginia resident? Yes, apply ED. Tech can be the EA backup.

Use your schools Naviance or Scoir. That would be too much of a stretch from our school, but maybe not yours.

Yes VA resident. Our school doesn’t have a naviance.

UVA didn't go below a 3.8 at my kid's Big3 last year--even rejected the ED applicants. Your milage may vary.

What’s a Big3? So you mean one of the DC privates?

Our kid is in a similar situation but their first choice is VT - if only they had ED!

Have they taken AP Physics C and Calc BC and gotten 5s? Can counterweight the mid GPA if they can show they know their stuff.
