Cold country salmon—bones?

Anonymous
I was considering doing the salmon share at cold country salmon but I wanted to try it out first so I got a fillet at the farmers market. Only the coho salmon was available so I got that. I thawed it overnight and went to cook it and it has so many bones. I just used tweezers to pull out over twenty bones from a 1 lb fillet. Is this normal? I’ve never had so many bones in other salmon I’ve gotten so I’m a little turned off now.
