Has anyone had an actual good outcome with this? My spouse is ready to file one. I'm reluctant. My kid says she wishes the person in question "could use her lying skills for good and not bad...." |
The form is a waste of time |
It is only useful in that it is a form of documentation, but don’t expect it to actually force MCPS to do something meaningful about the bullying behavior. |
Use the form in conjunction with an email to the counselor and your grade level assistant principal. Ask for a meeting to discuss the issue. A completed form put them on notice that you are serious and will escalate if needed. It helps avoid the issue being brushed aside. It doesn’t trigger action all by itself. |
This. Our child was in a situation last year and we started by calling a meeting. The AP filled out the form for us during the meeting. |
Schools must address the bullying form. Do it and then every time it happens again. Don't feel like it is a waste of time if it happens again. Just fill out another form. Principals do not like the paper trail of this form. It is tracked by admin and central office. |
