You need specific legal advice from a lawyer, not from an anonymous forum!
Are you really going to rely on anything posted here? What if the advice you receive is wrong? "Well, your Honor, somebody on DCUM told me that . . . ." |
|
LOL PP you're funny.
OP call someone NOW! |
|
i did call the court house and the person there told me I should request a lawyer that day..
Im not relying what is said her Im just looking for some guidance or such I have calls in places but In the mean time I mine as well ask here GEEEZ |
| Contempt? |
| hes claiming that im in violation of failure to obey a court order given by the court |
I think failing to obey a court order can knock it into criminal territory. What is he claiming you failed to obey? |
I think you should go with the advice the person at the court house gave as well as stop posting about this on the Internet. |
| If you contact a lawyer before, they can look into what is going on and be prepared ( as well as give you advise). If you just show up at court, who will you have? A public defender? Would you qualify for one? |
| You can be prosecuted for failure to pay child support. And locked up. |
| this is about custody not child support |
|
OP,
WHAT about custody? Why won't you give details? Is it big, like relocation without his permission? Or small, like a misunderstand over a missed afternoon? |
|
OP, try to reach out to a lawyer who does pro-bono work, if you qualify.
You may get some help here; I'm not sure why folks are being so mean. Can you give us more details? I'm not a lawyer but someone may be able to help if you provide greater detail. |
OP, no one here is going to give you real help. They are just curious about your life situation. Get a lawyer or see if you can get access to a court appointed lawyer prior to the date. If you work at it, I bet there is a way. |

Who's being mean?
OP also posted in the Special Concerns Forum, it's hard to know what's going on because she won't share any details -- not even what category of problem this entails. It might be serious, with a hearing so fast. JTTH! (Just Trying To Help!) |
