Moving to falls church and looking for travel soccer clubs

We are moving to falls church in 2 months. We have a 2012 girl and a 2014 boy. Started doing preliminary research and looks like Arlington, Villarreal Virginia and Annandale would be the three closest options? Anyone have any recommendations from personal experience for these clubs. My daughter is coming from a top team and my son is coming from a second team.

Also looking for recommendations for private lessons which incorporate strength training.

I am assuming getting on a team this spring season might not happen or do clubs keep some roster spots available for military transfer children?

What age? What are the previous clubs? How far are you willing to commute? The clubs you listed have a wide range of levels.

Why would any business keep a roster spot open in case of a military transfer? What an odd thought.

If your kids are good enough, sometimes clubs can find a spot for them on some team that isnt full, but clubs like to carry full rosters for the cash.

Of the two options you presented, I would explore Arlington and avoid Villareal. I am familiar with both and have a 2014 boy.

Exploring other options will really depend on where you are coming from. FL, TX, CA, NJ 2nd team may be equivalent to our 1st teams depending on the clubs. Kentucky, Idaho or something like that and you might want to start with a smaller club to ensure you get the most playing time and best coaching possible. This is not a hard and fast rule but no way to gauge where your kid is based on their previous team.

For your daughter is the top team an ENCL or GA team? If so, she probably can get onto the roster of most of the local GA and ENCL-R clubs. The closest to Falls Church would be Vienna (ECNLR), McLean (GA), TSJ (GA), Great Falls Reston (ECNLR), and probably a few others . Email the technical director or the actual teams coach if you can find it, and see if you can come check out a training.
