DoJ Scrubbing Report on Right Wing Extremism

Anonymous
This probably deserves its own thread since it is apropos to multiple threads here and in conversations across the country.

Conservative organizations like the Cato Institute reporting last week that right-wing political violence outpaces left-wing political violence by a factor of 6 (https://www.cato.org/blog/politically-motivated-violence-rare-united-states) and groups like the Anti-Defamation League reporting that 100% of incidences of political killings in the US between 2022 and 2024 were perpetrated by right-wing extremists (https://www.adl.org/resources/report/murder-and-extremism-united-states-2024), the Trump Administration is trying to scrub that from the net.

Nonetheless, the Trump Administration doesn't want you to know. So they are scrubbing the US DoJ website of information confirming that right-wing violence is the problem. This is from the DoJ.

"“Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives. In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives.”"

So Trump et al are really trying hard to eliminate references to the epidemic of right wing political violence so that can declare the left a terrorist organization.

I never thought this day would come.

They’re more interested in shaping a narrative than in facts.

The danger isn't in covering up right wing violence. I have no doubt that LEO will quietly address it. The problem is by scrubbing this information, they are setting the stage to demonize the left, classify it as a terrorist organization and enable MAGA to declare martial law or some nonsense. It will be particularly telling if the DoJ suddenly publishes a report concluding that it is now the left that is presenting the biggest risk of political violence.

Brian who cares which side is normally violent. We know which side is going all in on violence right *now*.

They had some serious methodological issues. Perhaps the biggest being excluding 9/11.

Everyone who studies extremist violence excludes 9/11. Or is it just anyone who concludes right-wing violence is the problem? You know, the Cato Institute and the Anti-Defamation League? Or are you prepared to call both of them radical leftist organizations too since they conclude exactly the same thing. The problem is the right.

“For 11 months, I pretended to be a far-right extremist. I discovered a radical youth movement trying to infiltrate the Republican Party. I attended more than a dozen extremist and conspiracy events and went to ostensibly mainstream Republican conferences, including the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, the annual gathering of Republican activists, politicians, and hopefuls, and Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit, and witnessed a radical youth movement trying to take over the GOP. Like a parasitic pilot fish, a robust fascist community follows the big Republican events into every town. They host shadow parties, receptions, and speeches as they work to recruit new members.”

Oh, everyone excludes it. That makes it right rather than a sign of institutional bias. I’m sure everyone accurately categorized other events because they are unbiased experts.

Over time, they will eliminate slavery and other events that make the US look bad.

The 9/11 terrorists were right wing, if anything.
